Hanoi at Midnight

Taken from my hotel balcony in Hanoi, Vietnam, this shot is one of my favorites given the challenges of photographing lightning with the interference of city lights. Luck is an essential ingredient and in this case the lightning forked outside of the rain band making the bolt appear sharp. Shutter = 4s Aperture = 11 Lens = 10-24mm (set at 12mm)
